This introduction presents seven papers related to the work of legal clinics. These are, in particular, the legal clinics of the universities of Puerto Rico, Bordeaux, Alcalá, Deusto and UPV/EHU. The papers were presented in a workshop held at the IISJ in May 2017. Along with the characteristics of the workshop (justification, structure and peculiarities), this introduction shows the fundamental aspect that unifies the different models of legal clinics discussed, such as hosting a kind of lawyer who uses the law in its commitment to social justice.
