Editorial Team

The Oñati Socio-legal Series Editorial Board is composed of scholars with recognized academic excellence and expertise in socio-legal studies, and a demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary and international research. The Editor-in-Chief is the Scientific Director of the IISL, who serves for two years. Editorial Board members are appointed either by the Editor-in-Chief or by the Governing Board of the International Institute for the Sociology of Law (IISL), in consultation with the Managing Editor and, where appropriate, with input from the existing Editorial Board.

Appointments are for an indefinite period, subject to periodic review. Continued membership depends on active engagement with the editorial work of the journal, including being generally available to review a reasonable number of submissions per year, as well as contributing to the journal’s scholarly mission and upholding its values of academic rigor, diversity, and international collaboration, and helping to its global visibilization among potential new contributors and readers. Members may resign at any time by informing the Managing Editor, and the journal may make changes to the board as needed to ensure its ongoing vitality and relevance.

We welcome expressions of interest from socio-legal scholars who wish to become members of the Editorial Board of the Oñati Socio-legal Series. Applications should include a CV and a brief letter of motivation, and should be addressed to the Managing Editor of the journal.
