The families protect, regardless of how they are formed, is and should be the spirit of the Laws of Social Security , which is not given denying gay couples the right to join when the article 1 of the CPEUM (Constitution Politics of the United States of Mexico) states: "...any discrimination on grounds of ethnic or national origin, gender , freedoms of persons ... is prohibited" in addition to "... the obligation of all authorities in the area of competence of promote, respect , protect and fulfill human rights in accordance with the principles of universality, interdependence , indivisibility and progressiveness , why the State itself must punish and remedy violations of human rights, in the terms established by law..."
El proteger a las familias, independientemente de cómo estén conformadas, es y debe ser el espíritu de las Leyes de Seguridad Social, por lo que no es dado negar a las parejas homosexuales el derecho a afiliarse, cuando el artículo 1o de la CPEUM (Constitución Política de los Estados Unidos Mexicanos 2014) señala que: "... queda prohibida toda discriminación motivada por origen étnico o nacional, el género, las libertades de las personas..." además de "...la obligación de todas las autoridades en el ámbito de su competencia de promover, respetar, proteger y garantizar los derechos humanos de conformidad con los principios de universalidad, interdependencia, indivisibilidad y progresividad, motivo por el que el propio Estado deberá sancionar y reparar las violaciones a los derechos humanos, en los términos que establezca la Ley..."
