Mediation, institutionalization, restorative justice

Laburpena

The present issue of Oñati Socio-legal Series is the result of the discussions and meetings held within workshop entitled "The institutionalization of mediation: potential and risks". Observing the growth of mediation in Western countries, we consider that it is necessary to critically address the development of mediations and possible instrumentalization in the hands of certain commercial and political interests. Six papers on the evolution and development of mediation are presented from a perspective of generalist analysis to more specific ones, such as the context of training, consumer law, restorative justice and family mediation.
