The way to understand the representation is currently being contested from parliaments, especially by the Regional Assemblies. Actually, this is not a generalized dynamics, but many of them have adopted important reforms in its regulations, institutionalizing channels direct and two-way dialogue between representatives and represented. At the same time, is promoted the direct participation of citizens in the exercise of constitutional or statutory functions entrusted to them. This regulation is positive because break with the image of a Parliament armored against social demands. These measures are intended to regenerate the link between representatives and represented; as an instrument at the service of representative democracy.
